The Matthew Vingt-Huit (Matthew 28) Orphanage of Bohoc, Pignon, under the direction of Pastor Paulius Lucien, had 58 children with a staff of six when they were visited by WFC Staffer Chuck Seal and Volunteer Eric Kanter, MD in mid-February. Based on their recommendations we are seeking donations to help this Haitian mountain orphanage double its capability to take in infants and older children. Most of the new babies will come from the earthquake-ravaged streets of Port-Au-Prince.
This orphanage needs to construct an additional all-purpose
building at a cost of $50,000 if they are to double their capacity of
children. Also, they need another $5,000 to increase their staff so
they maintain a ratio of 1:10. In addition, they need $3,000 for food
and diapers, or a total of $58,000. (This is a cost of only $1,000 for
each additional child.)
Please mail your generous donation (with check notated for Haiti002-10) to WFC, 277 Crider Lane, Woodstock, VA 22664; or, donate on-line by "clicking here" on the child:
